Richmond Hill Summer Camp 2016 - Explore Centre

Youth Leadership Program
  • A Big Special Thank You To Everyone!

Congratulations to everyone on an amazing completion of our Richmond Hill center’s Summer Youth Leadership Program!

The students had a great time learning the importance of body language, listening skills, confidence, self-esteem and more in our week long summer program. We also explored our role in helping the environment in the classes community project, where students brainstormed ideas on positively impacting the Earth and produced their own informative posters. In between lessons everyone had fun releasing some energy in Explore Center’s indoor playground, before getting focused again with our Minute of Mindfulness exercises prior to the next topic. We have gotten great feedback already from some parents on the lasting impact this has had with their children practicing being mindful at home.

The team would also like to give special thank you to our volunteer, Maggie Li, who helped during our classes and has been providing feedback for improving future programs. We would love to hear about changes in your child’s behaviour since the program, so please get in touch! As always, you can email us at contactus@masteringminds.org with any comments or suggestions.

We hope to see everyone again soon during our fall/winter evening and weekend programs!

    • Four New Levels of Student Engagement
I write often about the ever-evolving world we live in today. The way “things get done” is transforming before our very eyes. Often, a teacher in a classroom cannot keep up with the way kids connect, share, transmit and get to a goal. In his book, Here Comes Everybody, author [...]
